NOW OPEN - Sportsman's Warehouse

Sportsman's Warehouse is now open. 

It is located between Bealls and Thunderbird.  

They have gears for camping, fishing, hunting, etc. 

The selection is substantial. It is not huge but big enough.

Staff is super friendly and there are lots of them. Like you will find one in almost every other aisle.

Crisp outside and chewy inside...the perfect Sugar Cookie. The icing is organic lemon flavored -- which make the cookie so heavenly. 

I am an artist by heart. I love to paint, do hobby photography, graphic designing, and other crafts. 

One of my true love is baking, decorating...working in the kitchen. 

I am lucky to have a wonderful kitchen with a California king sized counter ;P  

 And an oven to die for.

Homesteading....anyone?

Wikipedia defines 'Homesteading' as a lifestyle of self-sufficiency. It is characterized by subsistence agriculture, home preservation of foodstuffs, and it may or may not also involve the small scale production of textiles, clothing, and craftwork for household use or sale. 

...Many also choose to plant and grow heirloom vegetables and to raise heritage livestock. Homesteading is not defined by where someone lives, such as the city or the country, but by the lifestyle choices they make. ^[1]

This definition resonates to me, a path to freedom towards self-sufficiency. The goal is to reduce our family's environmental impact by practicing home-based, family-centered and self-sufficient way of life.

Lost & Found Pets - NO MORE SCROLLING

We have 3 rescued dogs that are considered 'fur kids' and I feel for the pet parents/families that loses a pet that either got spooked & ran away or escaped. I cannot imagine the stress and worrying that one feels when a fur kid is missing. When I drive, I am always on a look-out for stray dogs. If safe, I would pick them up and take them home to find the owner. I actually carry an extra leash in my car for this purpose :)   My husband teases me that I would like to save each and every stray dog that I could find. I would really want to do that, but in my limited capacity I like to start to do what I can now and I need your help.

Where is my White Christmas?

As you all know this is our first Christmas here and coming from Los Angeles, we are looking forward to our white Christmas. We have been stalking the weather channels and we are all equipped with our snow gear (including the dogs)....but, where is my white Christmas?

What a find this place is!

I am new in Klamath, no idea where these hidden gem stores are.
Until I met Scott on FB...

He was posting flyers about the store. Rent a space, a stall. Ok, I hear ya. Seen that all over the place specially now it's holiday season --- gazillions of bazaars happening here and there.

Until I attended a holiday party in my neighborhood and my new neighbor (now, am not the newest) was showing some cute stuff she got from 'Keepers Corner'.

Hmmm, worth investigating.
