Coupon 101 Workshop

I conducted my first Coupon 101 Workshop yesterday at the Lakeshore Landing by Moore Park. I love the fact that I was able to share valuable tips on how you can stretch your family's budget, save money and have fun. My FB group 'Klamath Falls Couponers' has now 448 members. A few months back, I joined this group to find local deals. A couple of weeks later, the page was left without an Admin and jumped in to share my knowledge and encourage people to use coupons and understand how it works. The group has about 100 members back then.

I regularly get a private message on how do I start using coupons? Can you teach me? The idea of finally doing a live workshop came into play. There will be another workshop next month (June), same place - LAKESHORE LANDING. Cozy little coffee shop with a wonderful owner/operator (Carol), best place to get the best SUGAR COOKIES in town!

Once I have it scheduled, I will post the event at 'Klamath Falls Couponers' and other FB groups that allows such announcement. Coupon 101 Workshop is designed for new coupon-ers. It covers topics like:
- how coupon works
- kinds of coupons
- where to get coupons
- ways to use coupons
- basic stockpiling and inventory management
- planning a grocery trip
- and other valuable tips

Cost is $7 and that includes a cup of coffee or tea. If you are an advanced coupon user, this may be a good review or nice venue to meet other coupon divas :)   As we build and have more participants, I plan to do regular monthly meet-ups to do coupon exchange, share experiences, share deals over a cup of tea/coffee with (of course) SUGAR COOKIES at the Lakeshore Landing.

NOW OPEN - Sportsman's Warehouse

Sportsman's Warehouse is now open. 

It is located between Bealls and Thunderbird.  

They have gears for camping, fishing, hunting, etc. 

The selection is substantial. It is not huge but big enough.

Staff is super friendly and there are lots of them. Like you will find one in almost every other aisle.

Crisp outside and chewy inside...the perfect Sugar Cookie. The icing is organic lemon flavored -- which make the cookie so heavenly. 

I am an artist by heart. I love to paint, do hobby photography, graphic designing, and other crafts. 

One of my true love is baking, decorating...working in the kitchen. 

I am lucky to have a wonderful kitchen with a California king sized counter ;P  

 And an oven to die for.

Homesteading....anyone?

Wikipedia defines 'Homesteading' as a lifestyle of self-sufficiency. It is characterized by subsistence agriculture, home preservation of foodstuffs, and it may or may not also involve the small scale production of textiles, clothing, and craftwork for household use or sale. 

...Many also choose to plant and grow heirloom vegetables and to raise heritage livestock. Homesteading is not defined by where someone lives, such as the city or the country, but by the lifestyle choices they make. ^[1]

This definition resonates to me, a path to freedom towards self-sufficiency. The goal is to reduce our family's environmental impact by practicing home-based, family-centered and self-sufficient way of life.

Lost & Found Pets - NO MORE SCROLLING

We have 3 rescued dogs that are considered 'fur kids' and I feel for the pet parents/families that loses a pet that either got spooked & ran away or escaped. I cannot imagine the stress and worrying that one feels when a fur kid is missing. When I drive, I am always on a look-out for stray dogs. If safe, I would pick them up and take them home to find the owner. I actually carry an extra leash in my car for this purpose :)   My husband teases me that I would like to save each and every stray dog that I could find. I would really want to do that, but in my limited capacity I like to start to do what I can now and I need your help.
