Where is my White Christmas?

As you all know this is our first Christmas here and coming from Los Angeles, we are looking forward to our white Christmas. We have been stalking the weather channels and we are all equipped with our snow gear (including the dogs)....but, where is my white Christmas?

What a find this place is!

I am new in Klamath, no idea where these hidden gem stores are.
Until I met Scott on FB...

He was posting flyers about the store. Rent a space, a stall. Ok, I hear ya. Seen that all over the place specially now it's holiday season --- gazillions of bazaars happening here and there.

Until I attended a holiday party in my neighborhood and my new neighbor (now, am not the newest) was showing some cute stuff she got from 'Keepers Corner'.

Hmmm, worth investigating. 

Facebook Message:  "Hi Scott, could I come over your store and take photos for my blog?" 

Hubby tagged along in my exploration. Makes it double fun.

How about a website where we can 'vote' and give star-ratings to our local restaurants. 

No need to scroll thru FB walls to find reviews. 

There will be a page for reviews/comments. You can share pictures, videos, etc.

The main page for EAT section will have a basic list of Restaurant's address, phone number, hours of operation and Star Ratings.

Therefore, in a glance we can see ratings.

There will be other pages like SHOP, PLAY, LIVE/WORK and RESOURCE for Small Biz Owners.

SHOP will showcase local business, know about their products/services and meet the owners.

PLAY is for activities and places to go.

LIVE/WORK is job listing, property rental and sale

The site is designed with two things in mind...first, the consumer. As consumers, we want to see ratings and reviews before we spend our hard earned money. We like to see our options before making a decision. Second, small business owners. I strongly support local and home-based businesses. The site will be a venue to let the market be aware of what special products and services we have available in our community. 

It is my hope that the site will encourage our community to support these local businesses. 

Let us Support Local Businesses, this is the ground roots of our local economy. 

This is how we will be able to support each other bring food to our table.

Santa (a good friend) gave us a Christmas tree this morning and we needed to get a stand. A nice surprise for our family. 

This is our first Christmas in Klamath Falls!

After doing some errands and brunch in a near by cafe, 

we decided to check out BEALLS.

Cosmetics and Fragrances, if it is not so funky and you can close your eyes -- the scent will remind of you of 'the mall'.

They have Clinique and Estee Lauder and other brands. Enough selection to find something that you will like. Same thing with the fragrances for men and women.

Ok, walk on.

Have you been to the Gathering Grounds coffee shop? 

Check out this cool and hip decor -- architectural salvage style.

So warm and cozy, love the leather couch and free wi-fi.

The barista is none other than the owner -- Brandon!

There is a story behind the bike,  ask Brandon when you visit the shop. It is bike friendly. 

There is a rack right outside the cafe to park and lock your bikes :)

Biagio's Bar and Grill

It's Christmas in Biagio's! Love the ambiance...

We came for pizza (which we love, love, love) and even brought a friend with us who has never been to Biagio's. We all ordered PIZZA. My husband and I refused to share so we each ordered 
a Biagio's Pizza. Our guest, got the all meat version. 

I gotta have my grilled chicken caesar's salad. This is now on my fave list too. I have the habit of sticking to my favorite and order it over and over. But probably next time, I will try another dish.

Mexican Bread

After my morning meeting in a pet clinic ,  I stopped over to see Miguel and Bella. 

The minute I stepped out of my car...I smelled freshly baked bread.  Hmmmm, I inhaled deeply to savor the comforting scent of baked goods.

It was very busy in the Panaderia...I started my 'bread shopping'. Bella, as cheerful as always, described each bread and pastry. Some sort of Mexican bread 101 class for me. 

I picked out a selection. Grabbed my brown bag and headed home.

Cool and windy, I brewed my favorite coffee (yeah, on a nespresso machine) 

and sat by our kitchen window facing the lake. 

Got my brown baggie with pastries and this chunky brown cookie caught my attention. 

One bite, yes, all it took was one bite for me to say that this piggie is now my favorite. 
The texture is of a soft cookie. The taste is heavenly!!! Molasses with hint of chocolate. 

I forgot what it's called. Will definitely ask Bella next time I visit their shop. 

What? You have not tried this golden ... molasses... chocolate... soft cookie? You better. 
Now, let me finish it with my coffee while I watch ducks swimming by.
